
Peter Prautzsch and the staff of Communications & Marketing at the University of the Arts Berlin have organised the 2011/12 anual arts exhibition including all four colleges – Fine Arts; Architecture, Media and Design; Music and the Performing Arts. The ‘Rundgang’ of Berlin University of the Arts is a regular event in Berlin’s summer cultural calendar. Germany’s largest university of the arts opens its workshops, ateliers, studios and rehearsal rooms to the public, providing an opportunity for interested visitors to get to know the young artists and their work.

Golden Pudel Club, Hamburg and Peter Prautzsch have curated a special concert-event on board the former freeze and transport vessel MS Stubnitz. The evening presented a selection of live-electronica artists from the Neo Ouija Label including El fog / Masayoshi Fujita (Moteer, Flau, Faitiche). Tilman Ehrhorn (Mille Plateaux, Resopal Schallware, Neo Ouija), Deer (Giegling, Laut & Luise, Ekwal, Neo Ouija), Nils Quak (Progressive Form, Kitty-Yo, TonAtom, Neo Ouija) and Peter Prautzsch. Golden Pudel provided a selection of Hamburg based DJs.

As part of the University of Arts Berlin and in close cooperation with the Faculty of Music Peter Prautzsch has co-organised the 2010 and 2011 edition of ‘Konzert für die Nationen’. The 2010 concert-event was patronized by S. E. Dimitris Rallis, Greek Embassy Berlin and featured the solist Norbert Anger (Violoncello) performing with the Symphonic Orchestra conducted by Lutz Köhler. The 2011 edition was supported by the Russian Embassy Berlin.

Peter Prautzsch has co-organised the 2010 edition of Club Transmediale Festival at it’s new location WMF, Berlin. With the theme OVERLAP – Sound & Other Media, CTM.10 continues the discussion that began during the anniversary edition in January 2009 using the motif STRUCTURES – Backing-up Independent Audio-visual Cultures. While the 2009 festival focused on analysis of the internal structures of independent music and media cultures, the 2010 edition of CTM extended the radius and looks into the intersection – the overlap – between music and other creative, economic and social areas. The 10day program of CTM.10 has featured performances by Hiroaki Umeda, Keiji Haino, Planningtorock, Jacob Kirkegaard, Falty DL, Groupshow, Ilpo Väisänen & Mika Vainio, Michael Wertmüller, Hildur Guðnadóttir, Charlemagne Palestine, The Modern Deep Left Quartet, Aoki Takamasa, Atom TM and many more.

Frozen Elephants Music was non-profit netproject by Moritz Fehr & Peter Prautzsch dedicated to new approaches in electronic and electroacoustic composition, improvisation and listening experiences, featuring a growing range of international media- and soundartists. The project ran from 2005 to 2010, based on the idea of experimentation and improvisation both analog and/or digital, as a way to explore future paths of sound and composition. The project includeded works by Akihiko Taniguchi (Japan), Etienne Michelet (France), Ben Owen (United States), Jodi Cave (UK), Christopher Brown (United States), Miwa-Momo-Hojo & Yuichi Nagao (Japan), Rachel Thompson (United States), Lautnet (Austria), Jonathan Zorn (United States), Mike Hansen (Canada), Tisane (France), Yusuke Kamijima (Japan) and many more.

Altötting has been the spiritual center of Bavaria and the most significant place of pilgrimage in Germany in veneration of Virgin Mary. The small city hosts the monumental cyclorama “Jerusalem Panorama” painted in 1903 by Gebhard Fugel, a 20th century doyen of biblical artwork. This classic panorama is Germany’s sole historic large-scale panorama (approximately 12,917 sq ft / 95 x 12meter ). In close cooperation with Jerusalem Panorama of the Crucifixion of Christ, Altötting, Germany, the soundartist Moritz Fehr has composed and build a permanent multichannel sound-installation, with technical support and additional audio-production by Peter Prautzsch.

Martin Hirsch and Peter Prautzsch have curated the STFU night of the anual Club Transmediale Festival at Maria am Ostbahnhof, Berlin on January 26th 2009. STFU is an international non-profit open collective of electronic musicians, visual artists, netlabels and promoters who organize concerts of electronic and experimental music using the internet as their main means of communication. It is a network of groups and individuals who come together to make live electronic music events happen. Past STFU festivals have taken place in cities like Manchester, Glasgow, Marseilles, Rome, Athens, Helsinki and Heidelberg. For CTM 2009 STFU has featured performances by Deer w/ Palac, El Fog, NQ, Quip, Tilman Ehrhorn, Wesen, Opuswerk and visuals by Liz Ainge, Jacopo Saffioti and Fabio Bonetti. STFU performed on the 2nd stage of the MOA. The first stage hosted performances by Evala, Yasunao Tone, Keiichiro Shibuya and Pan Sonic. Martin Hirsch was also present at the panel discussion ‘Labels on the Net: Between Gift-Economy and Enterprise’ at Kunsthaus Betanien, Berlin.

The project is initiated by artist Tine Semb (NO) and organized in cooperation with Peter Prautzsch, Heiner Klemm and the non-profit institution Künstlerhaus Glogauer. Project Gestalt Berlin 2009 has celebrated its premiere from june 19 to 21 2009, a 3-day event including international artists within the field of sound art, experimental and electronica, setting its focus on artists experimenting with both sound and visuals. The festival presented individual and group performances as well as cooperations based on an one-month residency at the Glogauer Artist in Residence studios in Berlin. The program also also contained exhibition of visual works by some of the participating artists, as well as open studio exhibition by resident artists of at Kunsthaus Glogauer.

On May 23rd 2008 Irene Pascal (Kunsthaus Glogauer) and Peter Prautzsch (Frozen Elephants) have organised the years Open Studios & Concerts night at Kunsthaus Glogauer, Berlin Kreuzberg. The event has featured visuals works by 10 spanish artists such as Mariana Viegas, Moonjoo Lee, Cecile Azoulay, José de León, Kuno Ebert, Javier Martín etc. and performances by soundartists Ben Owen (with live projections), Melanie Velarde, Mathias Lehrberger and Peter Prautzsch.

As part of the Goethe-Institut, Australia Peter Prautzsch has assisted the Cultural Department in preparing the annual Audi Festival of German Films, Sydney scheduled for April 16th to 27th 2008 in Syndey, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane. A total of 22 films were selected for the 7th Audi Festivial of German Films in Australia. The Festival selection included films such as And along come Tourists, Border of Despair, The calling game, Cherry Blossoms – Hanami, The Counterfeiters, Duel in the Night, Edge of Heaven, Hands off Mississippi, Head under Water, Latebloomers, Max Minsky and Me, Naked, Nothing but Ghosts, The other Boy, Rabbits without Ears, Reclaim your Brain, Runaway Horse, Shattered Glass, Special Escort, The Wave, Where is Fred?, You Are Not Alone. Official festival guest were Juergen Vogel (actor), Martin Gypkens (director) and Anke Zindler (critic).
